What to Prepare for Auditions:
Auditions will consist of readings from the script. Sides will be posted/shared with

anyone who wants them starting two weeks out from the first day of auditions.

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. All interested community members are encouraged to audition.

Available roles:

• HON. FERN CARTER (60-70s) Uncompromising retired Juvenile Court Judge
• WILBUR CARTER (60-70s) Fern’s devoted, quirky husband
• ABBY SPECTOR (20s) Guarded hiker with a secret
• MINERVA “MINNIE” WARREN (20s) Nervous personal assistant
• DEMEREST EXCELSIOR (50-60s) Fading “British” film star determined to regain fame
• DODGER WILKS (20s) Cocky unemployed actor
• LYDIA STECKLER (40s) Efficient heartless film producer
• CHIP BASHOR (40s) Bitter and exhausted ghostwriter
• SUSANNAH (dead) A solemn, frightening ghost (non-speaking, but a presence

throughout the events of the play)

Rehearsal schedule will run this approximate schedule, subject to change once the cast

is chosen:

For the remainder of August and all of September, 

Sundays starting at 2:00 p.m.,

Mon/Tues/Thurs starting at 6:30 p.m.

Note: If at all possible, the first read-through will be the Thursday after

auditions, August 27. Otherwise, the first read-through will be Sunday,

August 30.

Starting the first full week in October, Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. will be added.

Cast will be required to attend at least one Saturday set build/painting/other production assistance workday.

Performances are on October 16-18 & 23-25.

Friday/Saturday shows start at 7:30pm. 

Sunday matinees start at 2:00pm.
